Logan takes big step towards world class Indoor Sports Centre
Early works mark the start of a great legacy for the local community.
Demolition has begun at the former Logan PCYC site, marking a major milestone in delivering one of Queensland’s largest multipurpose indoor sports centres and a key venue for the 2032 Games. The transformation paves the way for the new 7000 seat, nine-court Logan Indoor Sports Centre that will serve athletes, families and the broader community for decades to come.
The centre is earmarked* to host a range of indoor sports during the Games, such as ball sports, boxing, martial arts and Para sports. Post‑Games, the centre will provide local schools, clubs, and community groups with access to world‑class facilities, inspiring the next generation of Queensland athletes.
This milestone comes as planning continues toward key approvals, with the principal design contractor to be announced soon.
Take a look at the demolition in action and learn more about the venue.
*The final event program will be confirmed later this year.
