Global expertise secured to drive Games venue delivery
The Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA) has appointed Unite32, a consortium led by Laing O’Rourke and AECOM, as Delivery Partner for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games venues.
Unite32 brings experience from major events including London 2012, Paris 2024 and LA 2028. Unite32 will work with GIICA to deliver 17 new and upgraded venues on time, on budget, and with a lasting legacy for Queensland.
Unite32 will partner with GIICA to manage the design and construction of Games venues across the state. This approach combines global expertise with local knowledge to ensure world-class outcomes for the Games and beyond.
This collaboration will also strengthen Queensland’s ability to deliver complex projects efficiently that communities can use for decades to come.
GIICA and Unite32 will work together to coordinate planning and program management for the $7.1 billion Games Venues Infrastructure Program, with a focus on timely delivery and lasting legacy outcomes.
