Gabba’s game-changing entertainment and housing precinct

Drilling is now underway at the future site of the Gabba Entertainment and Housing Precinct, a project that will feature a 17,000-seat indoor arena integrated with a mixed-use development.

The precinct will:

Host concerts, sporting events, and major entertainment activities year-round, attracting international and domestic visitors.
Deliver modern residential, retail, and hospitality spaces, revitalising Woolloongabba and supporting urban growth.
Provide seamless connectivity with the new Gabba rail station, ensuring convenient access to Brisbane’s city centre and beyond.

Two proponents – the Brisbane Entertainment Alliance Consortium and the Gather Brisbane Consortium – have been shortlisted from a competitive global field of eight bids to deliver the transformative project.

These successful proponents will now advance to the Request for Detailed Proposal phase, with detailed design proposals expected to be submitted in October 2026.
