A new chapter for Victoria Park

Early concept designs reveal Victoria Park precinct as a connected, community hub.

Shaped by Brisbane’s lifestyle, the Victoria Park precinct will bring together recreation, major events, entertainment and parkland in one connected place that Queenslanders can enjoy for generations.

Approx two thirds dedicated to greenspace

A key commitment of the Victoria Park master plan is protecting and enhancing nature. Early planning shows around two thirds of the precinct will be greenspace, including open parklands, restored waterways and waterholes such as York’s Hollow. This means the majority of the site will remain green, accessible and free for everyday activities like walking, picnics and relaxing, while also supporting major events.

Respecting a long community history

Victoria Park has played many roles for Brisbane with its landscape reshaped for different uses. The current master planning process is an opportunity to thoughtfully re‑imagine the park and respect its history while creating something purposeful and special for all Queenslanders.

Planning for the games and beyond

The masterplan, being developed by world-renowned firm Arup, will shape a world-class recreation and lifestyle hub, connecting the venues and Brisbane Athletes Village during the Games, and generational infrastructure for beyond 2032.Whether attending a major sporting match, a concert, or enjoying a quiet picnic by the water, the precinct is designed to work for everyone.

Consultation opens soon
